Youth Equine Assisted Learning Program

6 Sessions
Sundays from October 12 – November 16, 2025 | 5:00–6:00 PM | Ages 8–14
This six week program gives youth the chance to strengthen confidence, resilience, and emotional wellness through Equine Assisted Learning (EAL). Grounded in the Cartier Farms Building Block™ curriculum, sessions build progressively to develop social, emotional, and cognitive skills that transfer into school, sports, and everyday life. Through guided, non riding interactions with horses, participants practice trust, emotional regulation, problem solving, teamwork, and healthy boundaries while receiving real time feedback that supports communication, leadership, and decision making in a safe, non judgmental setting. Over the six week progression, youth explore trust and empathy in relationships, build essential equine skills such as safety, haltering, pressure and release, and tying quick release knots, and deepen self awareness and confidence in team dynamics. Activities encourage patience, collaboration, and practical decision making, while the final sessions focus on body language, presence, and authentic connection. By the end, participants carry forward transferable skills that strengthen school performance, peer relationships, and everyday interactions.

Youth Equine Assisted Learning Program

12 Sessions
Tuesdays 6:00–7:00 PM & Saturdays 10:00–11:00 AM (Oct 14-Nov 22, 2025) | Ages 8–14
This twelve session program offers youth an extended opportunity to strengthen confidence, resilience, and emotional wellness through Equine Assisted Learning (EAL). Grounded in the Cartier Farms Building Block™ curriculum, the longer format allows participants to not only build foundational skills in trust, communication, and problem solving, but to practice, refine, and expand them over time. This creates deeper integration and stronger transfer of skills into school, relationships, and community life. Alongside foundational equine safety skills, participants advance into empowerment through trust and respect, observation and assertiveness, articulating intent, and making choices with confidence. They also engage in planning, teamwork, and project development that highlight leadership, collaboration, and self awareness within group dynamics. By the end, youth leave not only with transferable tools for everyday challenges, but with enhanced resilience, authentic presence, and the ability to apply leadership and teamwork skills in real world contexts.
